At SME Solutions, we take pride in the work that we do. Over the years, our staff has successfully supported various project environments from The Republic of Korea, to Washington, DC, to Fairbanks, AK. These include small physical therapy facility renovations to major medical centers.

Where We Are Now

The Ambulatory Care Center or “ACC” is a 157,000 sq. ft. 3-story outpatient expansion to the Omaha VA Medical Center campus and represents the largest addition in the facility’s history. The ACC will allow NWI to serve up to 400 additional outpatient visits per day and provide space in the existing medical center for future renovations and expansions of other services.

It will be home to several programs: primary care, dedicated women’s health clinic, dedicated ambulatory surgery, and radiology; and specialty clinics: dermatology, neurology, infectious disease, endocrinology, and allergy.Outfitting and activation are underway from June to July 2020 with the ACC opening in August 2020.

The Phoenix Outpatient Clinic is a new construction lease consisting of approximately 203,000 net usable square feet of clinical space and 1,370 parking spaces. The new state-of-the-art clinic will just be five miles from the Phoenix VA Medical Center and is located at 32nd and Van Buren streets in Phoenix, AZ.

This expansion project will consolidate five smaller clinics into the new location, including two existing stand-alone clinics and three clinics currently operating from within the Phoenix VA Medical Center. Clinical services will include:

  • Primary Care
  • Outpatient Mental Health
  • Specialty Telehealth Services
  • General Radiology
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Other Associated Ancillary Services

Adding this clinic will expand the available care to veterans in the Phoenix community and greatly decompress medical centers.

The Ocala VA Clinic is a new construction lease that is approximately 54,600 sq. ft. This single-story facility will be located close to Highway 75 in Ocala, FL. This replaces the Ocala community-based outpatient clinic and Ocala West Specialty Clinic leases. The new facility would enhance VA outpatient services by closing space and utilization gaps as identified in the Strategic Capital Investment Plan (SCIP).

This project would allow VA to expand its primary care, mental health, and home-based primary care services as well as improve continuity of care by integrating optometry and audiology services in a single location.

Their new location would also include administrative office space for the home-based primary care team, a dedicated space for telemedicine clinics to provide additional home-based services, and properly sized rooms for patient care and laboratory functions. The consolidation would generate operational efficiencies, allow specialty services to expand, and accommodate the projected workload increases in the Ocala area.

The Terre Haute Outpatient Clinic is a new construction lease comprising approximately 37,000 net usable square feet of clinical space and 250 parking spaces. The new clinic will merge the existing Terre Haute Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and the Terre Haute Outpatient Clinic into one location located at 5061 Bill Farr Drive, Terre Haute, IN, approximately 80 miles from the Indianapolis VA Medical Center.

Clinical services and availability will be expanded to include: primary care, outpatient mental health, general radiology, and other associated services. The clinic will also be built to support mobile magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT scan) scanning services as future capabilities and services develop.

The Brownsburg Outpatient Clinic is a new construction lease consisting of approximately 68,000 net usable square feet of clinical space and 501 parking spaces. The new clinic will replace the existing Indy West Annex Clinic and is located approximately 15 miles from the Indianapolis VA Medical Center just off Pitt Road in Brownsburg, IN.

Clinical services and availability will be expanded to include: primary care, outpatient mental health, general radiology, and other associated services. The clinic will also be built to support mobile magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT scan) scanning services as future capabilities and services develop.

The Gainesville Primary Care Clinic is a new construction lease that is approximately 84,400 sq. ft. located right off of Highway 75 on the corner of Williston and SW 34th Street in Gainesville, FL. This clinic would expand the VA outpatient services by providing primary care, radiology, women’s health, home-based primary care, telehealth, and other outpatient services within the new, two-story facility. This project would allow needed decompression at the main Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center (VAMC) campus.
